I joined the MHKC team as the Communications Director in September 2018. Before coming on board, I held communications and program-related positions that were aimed at protecting the environment, reducing the risks of natural disasters, and mitigating climate change. As a program director at Give2Asia, I developed and implemented a capacity building program for local NGOs building resilience to natural disasters in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam. As the Climate Program Manager at WildAid, I ran communications campaigns focused on sustainable lifestyles that continue to reach hundreds of millions of consumers across China each year. I earned a bachelors’ degree in journalism from Chapman University in 2008 and spent four years reporting high school and college sports for The Orange County Register.
Born and raised outside of Seattle, I returned to the Pacific Northwest 2018 to join MHKC! Like many northwest natives, I love hiking, biking, camping, cooking, reading, and traveling! I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the California Communications Access Foundation based in Oakland.
