WHAT IS WINTER RETREAT?

Winter Retreat is held during the holiday weekends in January and February each year. Campers can explore MHKC and the outdoors in the snow! The fun-filled weekend consists of snowshoeing through Camp, snow tubing, group and team-building games, arts and crafts, cooking, and of course, more time playing in the snow. Throughout the weekend, Campers get the unique experience to be in the kitchen, learning to prepare and cook meals with guidance from Staff.

Dates:

Dates: January 18-20, 2025 (12-30 years old) and

February 15-17, 2025 (25+ years old)

DOES MY CAMPER NEED A PHYSICIAN'S EXAM?

Yes.

If your camper attended Camp in the summer of 2024 your physician’s exam can be used again for Winter Retreat, as long as the exam date does not exceed 1 year.

If your camper did not attend Camp in the summer of 2024, you will need to complete a physician’s exam form and medication list both signed by the doctor.

If any medications or health status has changed, we will need an updated physician’s exam or medication list from the doctor.

WHAT IS THE LODGING SITUATION?

Campers will stay inside Cy Lodge in dorm-style sleeping quarters with two bunk beds (4 beds) per-room with common areas and communal bathrooms.

Fanning Hall (dining hall) will be the “home base” for all indoor activities and meals. Meal accommodations include gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. With all other dietary restrictions (including Celiac), we will ask that you bring supplemental food.

*We are not a certified Gluten Free facility so for those with Celiac Disease we ask that you bring supplemental food.
