I am so thrilled to be back with MHKC in my new role as the Operations Director. In this role, I work with the program, facilities, and rentals programs to improve all of the different aspects of Camp! I also work with MHKC’s university and college partners to bring the most amazing counselors to Camp each summer.

My passion for Camp began in 2011 as a counselor from Pacific University. Over the years, I have held just about every position over the years including Ropes Facilitator, Camp Chef, Rentals and Volunteers Coordinator, and Director of Programs. As the Operations Director I want to help Camp grow to serve more campers, provide new and innovative programming, and create an amazing mountain oasis where anything is possible.

I graduated from Roger High School in Puyallup, Washington, received my associates of arts and teaching from Grays Harbor College, and finished at Pacific University in the Bachelors of Education program. During my schooling, I worked in the Puyallup and Hillsboro School Districts as educational assistants. After my initial 3.5 years stint with the MHKC year round team I worked for Synergo building an outdoor, ecoadventure program in Lincoln City, Oregon that included kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, biking, hiking, and an aerial adventure park. My desire is to teach and mentor campers, counselors, and staff to strive for heights they never thought possible.

Favorite camp activity: The Adventure Course… Duh!
Favorite camp song: The Princess Pat
Favorite camp food: Gimme some of that crispy bacon.
My favorite thing about camp: My favorite part about Camp is watching campers, counselors, and staff embrace a place where there are no judgements, where people can be the truest, best version of themselves. Camp is a place where anything is possible and that mentality needs to spread around the world.
Team Woodsy or Team Smokey? Well since I snore like a bear I have to go with team Smokey!
