For future campers, ages 8-12 and their families
Family Camp is a 4 day, 3 night opportunity for future campers and their families to experience Camp. Our goal is to help future campers with their transition to Summer Camp routines and activities, and to give families confidence in our Camp as a great fit for their loved one. These action packed days include a wide range of outdoor activities and adventures mimicking a typical week at Summer Camp.
Each family is assigned a staff member to help support them and to be the family’s personal guide throughout the week. Each family is then assigned a group with which to rotate through activities.
Families get the chance to let their inner dare-devil out to play. The Adventure Course consists of several elements like the 32 ft. climbing wall, zip lines, tight ropes, and more. Our staff is specially trained on our course to provide the support and level of challenge that fits each person.
Marco… Families will get to cool down and splash around in our swimming pool. Ranging from 3-6 ft. our pool has stairs, zero entry ramp, ladder, and jumping in entry points. You bring the suits, we bring the Certified Lifeguards…Polo.
Bring your own 10 gallon hats or boots and spurs, but we’ll provide the corral and 4 horses for riding. Our trained riding facilitators lead our campers on short interactive walks around the arena. Any spare time is spent painting or learning to groom the horses. Yee-Haw, Equestrian Staff!
Test your teamwork, captain. We load up the buses and take your family to Trillium Lake for an afternoon of canoeing and swimming in the Lake. This evening will also include a BBQ dinner and campfire entertainment by the Lake.
We also spend time fishing, making arts and crafts, playing field games, hiking, and more. Group evening activities include a dance complete with costumes, skits complete with silliness, and songs complete with our highly trained out of key singers.
We invite all potential campers and their families to join us. Future campers must be between the ages of 8 and 12, and families must have no children younger than 5 in attendance. We encourage all family members to participate in all activities to the best of their ability. Here are the eligibility requirements for future campers wishing to attend Family Camp. Review our eligibility standards:
There are two housing options. The first is shared housing in Cy Lodge. Families are given a private room, or two, with bunk beds, high ceilings, and shared bathrooms and common areas. The second option is to sleep in a platform tent. Platform tents are canvas structures on a wooden frame with tent flap openings. One tent houses five people with twin beds and mattresses.
All bathrooms are shared and meals are family style in the dining hall. Our chef offers some gluten-free and vegetarian options, but if you have a more restrictive diet feel free to bring your own food options as refrigerators will be available to you.
