Empowering children and adults with disabilities

Marta Boylen, RN

Health Care Administrator

I am a Registered Nurse and I work at the Portland camp office year-round helping to plan for the upcoming summer’s medical needs. My job is to assure the safety and well-being of all campers and staff at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults in hospitals, schools, camps, and medical office settings as an RN for the past 38 years. I have worked as a school nurse for over 20 years. This will be my seventh summer at MHKC. I am from Pendleton, Oregon (home of the Pendleton Round-Up!) and I went to school at Oregon State University and Good Samaritan School of Nursing.

Favorite camp activity: The waterfall hike.

Favorite camp song: “How can anyone ever tell you?”

Favorite camp food: Scott’s bread!

My favorite thing about camp: The smiles and joy I see in all the campers.

Team Woodsy or Team Smokey? Team Woodsy!
