Empowering children and adults with disabilities

Onsite Property Manager

I help to take care of our buildings and grounds. I also problem solve campsite challenges and cater for our rental guests throughout the year. I help to lead campsite work parties, and I make sure our camp is always healthy and happy. Sometimes I even emcee our Thursday night bbq's. Can't wait to see you at camp.

I know the camp as if I had grown up here, because I did! My very first job was as a dishwasher in Fanning Hall. Most of my career has been in the service industry. I’ve worked at the Hilton, Timberline Lodge, and several hotels and restaurants in Norway and Germany. I was a private chef on a yacht, as well as a captain. I was born with a chainsaw in my hands and my first car was a backhoe!

I was born in Norway (but I am an Oregonian at heart). I went to grade school in Welches, High School in Sandy, and Culinary School in Sandefjord/Norway. I completed Meteorology, Navigation, Medical officer on board a ship, and Yacht handling in Cape Town/South Africa.

Favorite camp activity: The Adventure Course. I love hanging out with people (literally!). You learn a lot about people on the course.

Favorite camp song: When Judy sings “State Laughs.”

Favorite camp food: Brownies!

My favorite thing about camp: Getting to watch people change through their experiences at camp.

Team Woodsy or Team Smokey? I’ve got respect for both, but I have to go with the bear!
